7/ Alternatives to a 99-year concession could be:
• A shorter 10–20 year lease, renewable.
• A joint venture with Armenia.
• Or management by an international body (EU, UN) for balance.
Without it, the corridor looks less like integration and more like imperialism.

6/ My take: small states like Armenia will always be tied to bigger powers. That’s geopolitics.

But deals must pair open roads with real safeguards for sovereignty + security. Otherwise Armenia risks trading peace for long-term dependence.

5/ Two out of the four potential scenarios:
• Golden Cage (most likely): peace but sovereignty loss, benefits flow to U.S./Azerbaijan, Armenia dependent on U.S. strategic decisions.
• Strategic Breather: limited independence but economic growth

4/ TRIPP is the most controversial.
• Supporters: external security guarantors, new trade routes, investment.
• Critics: 99 years = loss of sovereignty, dependency on U.S. policies, a corridor historically compared to colonial leases.

3/ On the surface, Armenia gets:
• An end to war (at least for now)
• Diplomatic ties with Azerbaijan
• Regional trade revival

But… no binding clause on POWs. Only Trump’s verbal promise. High-profile detainees, including Artsakh officials, remain in limbo.

2/ Three key elements, none fully finalized yet:
1️⃣ Peace agreement — borders recognized, no territorial claims.
2️⃣ TRIPP corridor — a 99-year U.S. concession through Armenia’s Syunik.
3️⃣ Dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group — sidelining Russia.

My YouTube video on migration is out. It was a way for me to explore the tension between migration and citizenship, the challenges brought upon us due to climate and social injustice, as well as different schools of thought on this topic. Would love your thoughts on this!

We need to keep our eyes on the Freedom Flotilla. These activists, including Greta, are risking everything to expose injustice and deliver hope. Let’s support them with gratitude — and action. Sign the petition, show up, speak out.

This is a pattern. Numerous moral voices were persecuted during their lifetime. Because as Gene Sharp wrote, nonviolent rebels don’t just resist, they force power to reveal itself in its most brutal form. That’s why they’re attacked.

The backlash has begun. Senator Lindsey Graham tweeted: “Hope Greta and her friends can swim!” Arsen Ostrovsky called her a “little jihadi.” This is what happens when someone confronts injustice: power tries to turn conscience into threat.

We’re almost being trained to process horror like content. To feel informed by posting. To perform empathy instead of doing anything with it.

We laugh. We post. We scroll.
The tragedy fades. The algorithm refreshes.

But maybe we should ask ourselves: Are we sharing awareness or just anxiety?
May 22, 2025 at 1:18 PM
And here’s the problem: when we scroll past war crimes and memes in the same 30 seconds.. Something breaks.

Not just our attention spans but our ability to care meaningfully. It becomes a performance of outrage, not an act of resistance.
May 22, 2025 at 1:15 PM
This is memetic warfare. The battlefield isn’t just the news anymore, it’s the algorithm.
Whoever wins the meme war often wins public opinion. And when outrage becomes content, empathy turns into a performance.
We start mistaking reposts for resistance.
May 22, 2025 at 1:14 PM
A few examples, just to ruin your day:

– Israel’s IDF posting a “Spotify Wrapped” of its “achievements” during the war
– Ukraine Defence Ministry posting anime-style updates
– Duolingo or Spirit Airlines tweeting through disasters to “stay relevant”
May 22, 2025 at 1:13 PM
But not all memes are grassroots. Governments, corporations, and even militaries are posting through humanitarian disasters, dropping quirky TikToks or pop culture references to sway public opinion or just distract. It’s not just cringe. It’s calculated.
May 22, 2025 at 1:08 PM
Memes aren’t just jokes anymore. They’ve become a coping mechanism.

Psychologists call it “cognitive reappraisal”, which means using humor to soften fear.

Just like that, with brainrot TikToks and shitposts about the apocalypse, Gen Z turns anxiety into irony. It makes the unbearable...scrollable.
