Sigh. Does it really need to be said that the point of great works of art (literature, painting, sculpture, whatever) is to pore over it, enjoy it, think on it, sometimes many many times.
Not to speed run straight to the end so you can post some kind of preening slam dunk

I don't think he understands just how much of what we grow is turned around and fed to animals. Not to mention the grazing lands themselves. And the waste from animals! My god the pig farms are just... unspeakable.
But yeah, sure, vegans are the problem.

Just a question. Did you tell any of this same BS to the 8 assholes that started this?
From my POV, we were all on the same team after a great election. Then Dem Senators decided to stab us all in the back. Are you giving them the same lecture about fighting together or nah? They can do whatever?

If that's true, we are royally fucked.

He has literally no idea what goes into a healthcare insurance policy. Copays, deductibles, max OOP, pharmacy benefits, covered and not covered services, pre-authorization requirements. On and on. Utterly laughable.

You know why we are having these feelings? Because you guys keep betraying and frustrating us, the base.
Yet you hand wave around as if this was all something that just sort of happened, who could have known? And then you lecture us, the base, about how we need to pull together.

Did the Senate vote light a fire under him? This is the way, let's hope he keeps it up.

The Whip, the number 2 guy on the Dem side whose very job is to get people to vote the way leadership wants, voted Yes. That says it all.

It's the exact opposite. There is less than zero chance that the upcoming vote will pass. I give it 50/50 whether it ever even gets scheduled.
This, the shutdown, was your ace and you folded.

I don't even believe this. Hold a town hall with your constituents and let's see what they really say.

You expect us to believe that the Dem Whip, second only to you, broke ranks with you and voted Yes and somehow there's just nothing you could have done?

You truly think we're all fucking stupid. If the Senate Dem leadership wasn't actually behind this maneuver then they should be replaced for incompetence. It's one of the other.

You literally did the opposite with health care, stripping it away from hundreds of thousands of not millions. Fuck off

Okay but millions will become uninsured and people with chronic illnesses will die. Back to GoFundMe for cancer treatment? HIV? MS? Alzheimer's?
SNAP was covered (for now) and would have come right back once the government was reopened.
Uninsured people are screwed for how long?

Again. He did the same thing in March, except this time he gave himself a little cover by voting no.

Exactly. Preexisting conditions don't even come into the equation if you can't even afford to buy the policy!

And pulling that 30 billion out of the ACA exchanges will absolutely devastate them. Choices will plummet, premiums will just get worse and worse.

The GOP CANNOT be trusted. How do you not understand this?! Asking for guarantees or future votes or whatever is just stupid.
Put it all in a bill and vote on it now or GTFO is the only response you can give them.

So your point is that they currently have funding, which they refuse to use, so making sure we have more funding means they will reliably support SNAP for a year even during another shutdown?
And giving up on ACA subsidies for this fictional guaranteed support is worth it?

They are already required to pay SNAP. So no, that's not a win. And GOP guarantees? Hahahahahahahaha
