I think the game plan was going to be play from the back & counter and edson lacks a lot with the ball . We didn’t need him to drop back and be the 3rd CB cause we played with 3 already

Truth is he hasn’t been all that great with the national team ; in my opinion he’s better as a CB rather than CDM . He isn’t the player we all think he is and the game vs Argentina didn’t call for his profile until much later in the match
