Whereas in London today it was officially “stinky hot”.

Guessing your shower was too hot.

If it goes on like this I could soon be in charge.

Pretty sure it’s “I don’t care” training. Wonder if it’s still available. Might see if I can get a grant for some sessions.

I love French decor. I once stayed in a French hotel where the rosebud wallpaper had buds on top of stalks behind the headboard, but the pattern continued across the ceiling and down the opposite wall so that the other side of the room had upside down roses.

You might feel you’re rubbish at it, but those of us on the other side of the table really appreciate the effort you put into it. Time we met for lunch.

But anything Maggie O’Farrell writes is perfection.

I concur. The characters are perfect and we all recognise them.

Me neither. They never wash as well as pure cotton or linen (& “ironing-time” is my perfect alone time when I listen to podcasts.)

I’m using the prohibition on wearing poly-cotton shirts to shame people who claim to be “Bible-based Christians”!

Suspect it’s because home is abou 12 minutes from the airport (& local taxi firm must only be about 4 mins further).
