It requires some level of, "I was wrong about them." Don't underestimate the power of the American ego.
The rest is, "It will never affect me; I am a good person. Why should I exert my limited time and energy for people that might deserve that treatment?" This latter case is unredeemable.

Everybody seems to shop for cars according to how they will need .001% of the time. This is a lot of what holds people back from considering EV's,"What if I buy a boat, and need to tow it across the country?" 🤔

I am curious if governing the speed to "less than twenty mph" can be done without also inhibiting the torque. That is, would people in hilly areas have to climb at a crawl?
