BG illustrator who loves to draw ancient civs and ruins.Timbs collector.YouTube poop enjoyer. I love games like For Honor and Soulcalibur 6 way too much. My disdain for Dad of Boi is well documented.
Sometimes, my favorite thing to do in a discord server that happens to have a channel dedicated to learning Japanese + Kanji is to leave a handful of messages from a language like Hindi (which uses Sanskrit), & wait to see how long until someone notices or until I get a warning, or even booted out.

I’ve fumbled on the perspective, I wanted it to look like a crowded metropolis. Actually, it’s meant to be a reconstruction of Xunantunich (in what is now Belize). But there wasn’t much to work with, since it’s not as neatly preserved as Palenque and the likes.

A study of The Mayan fortress of Tulum. In what is now Cancun, Mexico. As always, I like illustrating what these places may have looked like before they were abandoned.

Congolese Moambe Chicken 🇨🇩🇨🇫. Cooking this wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. (Would you believe it’s also made out of peanut butter?)

Nezahualcóyotl, the Poet King. Two men admire the statue of the philosopher ruler. I’m convinced that most of my camera shots do not do justice to colors I’ve used in my paintings. It drives me insane and feel the need to amplify the brightness.

Obligatory licensed video games made to promote popular media. Now that I think about it, I noticed that these type of games don’t really exist all that much anymore.

A backyard study, green and comfy. Not really sure what else to say about it, other than one of our peers invited us to her home to paint around the backyard. #watercolorpainting #backgroundart

Another Machu Picchu study, one of the tougher things to do in these studies is reconstruct what these ruins would’ve looked like back then, placing these details in certain areas, all the while following the irl photograph in which the scenery is based on.

Yknow how character artists can’t bring it in themselves to draw the background? Well I’m the polar opposite, I use up all of my brain cells for bgs, buildings, landscape, etc.

One of the many things I brought back from my trip to New Zealand. I’ll never go out on any cold day without it!

“Noon at the ruins” part of a series of paintings I have in mind centred around the topic of “El Dorado”

Yesterday was Chicken Tikka for dinner. Least messy dinner that I’ve cooked.
