Miss Anya Cat is not particularly affectionate, but once or twice a day she likes to get some skritches and about 3-5 minutes of lap time. To further demonstrate her devotion, she naps on my shoes at night.

I still kind of miss my buff-ginger floof cat who used to reliably wake me up between 5-5:30 am by knocking a book off my bedside cabinet. I had a “decoy” book so he wouldn’t damage library books.

I was in the UK for two weeks and my spooky cat Pippa spent the entire time hiding, only coming out once a day to eat (verified by cat-cam). Two hours after I got home, she came out & sat by me, giving me this side-eye, “How dare you leave me?”

All my cats came from shelters, except for the two that wandered in from outside. Anya didn’t look like much at first, but turned out gorgeous.
Scrubby kitten, big ears, might be dilute tortie, not sure how she feels about being shaved and spayed. Fully fluffed young Anya, definitely dilute tortie, lying on parquet floor. She’s showing off her right buff foreleg & left grey tabby foreleg, white muttonchops, and big, fluffy, grey tail. The rest of her is like a multicolored greyish cloud.

At least she’s still sitting there. If I make a sudden move, Pippa dashes out of the room. A sneeze terrifies her. I hope to someday convince her that she’s safe.
