Liberals and Nationals alike, inside their parliamentary ivory tower, have lived a privileged, puffed-up existence for so long that they have inevitably sunk into a delusional quicksand. Their struggles to regain terra firma will be in vain!

Franklin is also my electorate and I was delighted to see Peter George do so well. Never expected him to actually win, given Julie Collins' 13% margin, but he did manage to reduce her votes considerably. Well done!

My recollection is that Labor did more of the refusing to compromise and I have vivid memories of Albo quite nastily attacking the Greens. Doubtless, however, both parties need to do better with co-operation during this next term.
