Travelling LED trap near Painswick, Gloucestershire. Many Lunar Underwings of different shades, a beautiful Maiden’s Blush, Barred Hook-tip, Spruce Carpet. Also Deep-brown Darts NFM, Brimstone, Willow Beauties, Flounced Rustic, Light Emerald, Lime-speck pug, Latticed Heath, LYUs, Lesser YUs.

Red-legged Shield Bug (Pentatoma rufipes) basking in the sun at Tintern Abbey yesterday.

Cold nights here in Zuid Holland. Willow Beauty, Square-spot Rustic, Lesser YU, Agriphila straminella recently.

A nice looking Yellow Shell and a, surprisingly, NFG Lobesia littoralis (Shore Marble) in my Dutch garden.

For #mothface Friday, a Gypsy moth from yesterday.

NFG Aglossa caprealis reported scarce here, and Brown scallop (as far as I can make out) @teammoth. Rijswijk, Netherlands

Unfortunately no. I’m afraid the photo I posted may have been a bit deceptive. From another angle (new photo of same moth attached to this post) the hyaline spot midway along wing becomes more visible. This fits better with Monopis on Lepiforum and Chris Lewis’ website. What do you think?
