Hilarious! I did love Richard Ashcroft for a short period after seeing The Verve live.I felt he was mesmerizing on stage. Sad, I’m not only over him, I’m laughing. Oh well

If you lived here you could add the toxic gasp of skunk spray to your list.

I’ve never thought of anti-vax, conspiracy theorists as being hippies. I guess it makes sense, though.

We’ve been having similar weather, that I have to admit I’ve been loving. Summer is so usually so short in our part of Canada. I can’t begrudge a few week extension.

As a tourist I agree completely. I never get bored wandering around in London. One of my favourite walking cities!

I was feeling sad for you throughout your post but that last point turned your day from plain bad to catastrophic!

Who is everybody else? Dogs from your illustrious past?

Trains are very rare items in Canada. That one looks magical

I saw Jaws in high school with high school friends. We went back to my place, as always after a movie. We had a lake in our back yard. A little wee lake, and nobody went near it. We were terrified!

I’m pretty sure you would find a similar situation here. Someone I know is all anti-poverty, etc, but challenged her taxes on her multi-million dollar home. Depressing indeed.

I came over in 1995 for the Duxford air event. On the bus from Cambridge I sat with a woman who had been evacuated from London during the war. In the seat behind us was a former airman from the RCAF. I had an incredible day with these 2 fascinating people who shared their stories with me.

Pretty dramatic indeed

Canada didn’t send anyone this year either. Part of our larger US boycott taking place now.

I love that they just keep doing what they want, and never bow down to fashion or commercial success. I don’t appreciate a lot of their work, but still love their search.

Hoping it becomes available in Canada. Or that he comes to Krankenhaus Festival and sells them there …🙂

Yep. I actually received an “eat more potato chips” message from my doctor. He had given up tying to fix it at that point.

The best thing that happened to me on that front was being diagnosed with low sodium. I still feel like I should stand up and explain to the whole room when I ask for it in a restaurant.

Yikes!

That was a fascinating account. I doubt many people saw as many battlegrounds as he did. And I was pleased to see he looked after Canadians too. Thanks for sharing!
