I was inspired to finally make that miniature brick wall for photographing my 1/6 scale figures. Got a big, cool project in mind that is a culmination of every artistic skill I've ever developed. Sculpting, photography, film-making, black/jewelry smithing, miniature-making, painting(?).

This was like 10yrs old, the cork dried out once, and it degassed. I procrastinated on opening it in case it was still good. At 5%, i figured it must be very oxidized. Was showing my friend whom i worked in the liquor store with, decided it was time. It tasted as good or better than a fresh bottle.

Was too drunk to post my Starfox costume the other night. My friend who was throwing the party was dressing as Krystal, and in trying to come up with a costume, I realized the only thing close to one that I had was my low-key Fox McCloud. Just needed the tail, ears, and a new vest.

Realizing that this cat is everything I wanted when I was little. Wants to be with me all the time and is so aggressively affectionate that she'll just mash her face into my hand with so much force that it must hurt. I think I'd be a lot happier if I made it more of a priority to accommodate her.

That's about it, there's some on my camera I might post. We saw orcas on the ferry to Nanaimo and a humpback as we were leaving, wasn't able to get any shots, the windows were too covered in water droplets. Maddie was happy to have us home, she curled up in her little box between us on the couch.

The last day was windy and wet for the first half. When the sun came out there was a rainbow with both ends terminating in the lake. We went for a hike to look for mushrooms. Nothing great except the lobster mushroom she found! We saw another tressel bridge but only went a little ways onto it.

Next to the lake was an abandoned railroad track, you could hike down it over a few tressel bridges. There were mushrooms growing all along the track. My partner shouted "Shoosh! Shoosh!" Like a train whistle.

I grew up on a lake, we fished but didnt know it was safe to eat the crayfish. Probably for the best, ours were smaller, and I was obsessed with seafood, i probably would have damaged the population had i known. I only caught 2, but uad to try them. Tasted like crab!

Camping pic thread! As soon as i had set up my confusing tent i hadn't used for 10+ years, i went down to the water and saw something disturding the weeds, i could see two white spots and thought it was a turtle. It was a massive crayfish! Then i saw an even bigger one and caught it!

This is at Marion Lake in the UBC research forest near Golden Ears. They were everywhere. I forgot I found the red one, too. most of the ones I saw were the little green spoon-leaves.
