Open source will stay around but like, who talks about deepseek? Heck I've barely seen Stability mentioned any more outside of people who talk about AI.

As for the tools themselves I'd wager on it varying by the tool; If a tool is revenue positive it might be kept around, albeit I don't know if it will ever be retrained.

I don't think the likes of Open AI or other large foundation models will survive if the numbers Ed Zitron published hold water

There are a few events that could trigger it; bad press run, jitters around lawsuits (albeit looking unlikely at this point), collapse of a smaller scale but known company (like Coreweave or one of the coding things), tech company realising throwing more money at the problem wont juice stock etc.

From what I understand the bubble bursts when the stock market lacks enough people remaining who are willing to bet that throwing a trillion dollars into AI will turn a profit, thus rendering the major tech stocks overvalued.

No one pays; stock market crashes.

I am tempted but after a month of orchestral/ cabaret rock and light metal my ears might ring a bit lol. I'm also trying to get through Malazan Book Of the Fallen. The audiobooks should take me a month at least lol

All my Ocs are based on a bird or two 😄. The main two numbskulls are an umbrella cockato and an Aplomado falcon / Phoeonix Rooster mix that everyone in the plot mistakenly thinks is an eagle.
