I guess time will tell. My suspicion is that once people feel like they have the liberty to drop the act and go back to describing reality accurately, they will. When 80% of the population disagree with you, I doubt the expanded usage will persist for much longer.

Right, because that's what's happening right now. You've got dems backtracking as fast as they can, EO's being signed reversing exactly what you are saying is happening. Countries all over the world are reversing course on this movement, because people don't like it, they disagree.

According to you. Again, most people disagree with your position, and do not agree with the decisions to expand the definition of women to include males. I think we're seeing the consequences of those decisions play out now. You can keep insisting you're right, but most people disagree.

When “women’s prisons” house females and males, and “women’s sports” have female and male athletes, the word “woman” no longer has the same meaning that most people agree on.

Says who? Thats the whole debate. People don’t like the commandeering of vocabulary, the expansion of definitions to include the thing they are, and also things they aren’t. It renders words meaningless, and we’re seeing a lot of push back. Words matter, especially in a legal context.

Then why is the trans community trying to change the laws? Most people don’t really care where you pee, it doesn’t affect me. What does affect me is trying to write sex out the laws and remove protections for women and girls.
