The sky is giving us mare’s tails this evening. Lovely. And the kingbirds are arguing as usual, along with the grackles, the red wing blackbirds and mourning doves.

Look who showed up this morning along with a pair of starlings. First meadowlark this spring. Will be waking to their song now until fall.

Today’s sunset, which is now after 6pm! And true to form, now that we’ve escaped 30-40C below, anything between -5 and 5 (or -9) only requires muck boots and an unzipped ski jacket over whatever’s handy, shorts, jeans, capris, pjs. At 0, even the ski jacket was too hot yesterday.
