I love your reading of No Country. I'll also offer my reading of the larger theme, which is that evil is unbeatable. Bardem's character gets away with just a broken arm, but justice is never served. Evil will always get its way.

This was a beautiful piece, Drew. I had my own invigorating concert experience earlier this week, albeit in a smaller setting of 300 people. But still, I’m in my 40’s and I still know that few things are better than getting your ass shredded by an excellent band.

I’ve definitely heard that, and I think it’s such a judgmental way of thinking. Weight loss is hard for a lot of people, even if they do everything “right!” Why criticize someone for taking extra steps to be healthy??

Definitely! At the time of that Brand New show you talked about, I was in a band called Tyborn Jig that played the Mews a lot. Probably not in the same circles you ran in. I wasn't at that Brand New show, but I was definitely at the Panic at the Disco show at Val Air around that same time! ❤️
