The stupidest thing wealthy people do is spend all of their money making sure they only ever see other wealthy people. Fucking rots their brains.

Wait, it was only just 10 years ago. You missed a bit.

The minimalist, pretty, almost gorgeous, but nonetheless practical and distraction-free macOS era will be missed.

This is the first dev beta, I can see a bunch of refinements happening, like they have in previous years. Not to mention some positioning just doesn't work, so there's plenty to go yet.

Strong agree on all fronts.

Timeless things are generally dull. VW/Audi cars never go out of fashion because they're so straightforward, a few flourishes but generally unchallenging. Compare that to "cheeky" car brands after even a couple of years.

Thank you, it looks great - wanted to make sure before I committed to it. I'll take a deep dive on the weekend.

Also it's expensive. I ran up against limits and paid a lot to do a few hours work.

So I looked into what it would take to host yourself. Just for today's good models, you'd need 8 GPUs. EIGHT GPUS. Otherwise it's just slow and stupid. Like holey money we're cooked.

But when it gets it wrong, it's just a mess. Because you didn't code it, you're sort of dependent on it to help fix the mess. Which is big.

And because you didn't code it, it's hard to make changes. You have to familiarise yourself anyway. It might have even brought in new tech you have to learn.
