Though I don't play FFXIV as religiously anymore, not because it isn't a good game, just don't have that friend group to keep coming back around regularly is all. So I always come back for a month or two when a new expansion gets released.

There truly is no competition. I love games rich in story, and nothing has come close to FFXIV for me. Honorable mention to the KOTOR/SWTOR universe, those are also very good stories.
