Thank you @croydon labour team, we spoke to plenty of #waddon residents ; housing is by far the biggest concern, communal doors not closing or off all together for weeks; rough sleepers entering blocks a significant concern amongst many . @rowennadavis.bsky.social and I will do all we can.

Out with the Croydon Labour team and the much loved and respected #newaddington Cllr Kola Agboola ; residents keen to support our petition to save the Youth Engagement Service and appreciative of the work by @ndironsmp.bsky.social for the area. Labour will fight for the needs of our young people.

End of my shift at Crisis at Christmas , every year leaves me heartbroken and uplifted at the same time - the sprit of hundreds of volunteers, smiling guests who sleep rough or sofa surf full of stories of their lives - a turly wonderful service , but one I hope we won’t need much longer.

Housing crisis prevalent at this weekend’s canvasses ; lifts breaking down , mum left to carry up shopping with young children to the 10th floor , families crammed into small flats converted from office . The suffering was hard to hear. They live it 😢. #croydon can do better 🌹.

Men and women came to talk, sing, recite and hear from our brilliant minister Alex Davies-Jones MP on putting an end to #VAGW; spearheaded by our own #Croydon Domestic Violence champion Tamar Barrett and hosted by the fabulous Rowenna Davis and Hamida Ali .

Today on Maaveerar Naal, we remember the devastating Sri Lankan Civil War against TAMILS ; remember all those who bravely gave up their lives for the freedom of us Tamils.

The wounds of war will not heal whilst so many are still missing loved ones and UNTIL we get accountability and justice !

Fact: The police receive a domestic abuse-related call every 30 seconds.

Fact: 1 in 4 women in England and Wales will experience domestic abuse in her lifetime.

A woman is killed by a man every three days in the UK.

Croydon came together today, let us all do our bit to put an end to #VAWG.
