Rescued this photo from my Twitter archive of a really great sunset near Liberal, Kansas, back in like 2017.
My old truck, Maxwell, parked on the side of a pullout off US-54 in southwest Kansas under a brilliant orange pink and purple sky just after the sun itself has dipped beneath the horizon but with it still illuminating the underside of the clouds above.

The view from the ridge above Ellensburg last night was excellent. I've so missed the PNW!

The sun is setting somewhere off to the left, so the sky is a deep blue at the top right corner of the image and orange at the left horizon, and the sky is scattered with dark purple fluffy cotton ball clouds. It has rained recently, so some of the scrub plants are a bright green even though the grass is a dull orange. Lush green agricultural fields fill the floor of the valley in the middle distance between the foot of the ridge I'm standing on to the city on the hat side of the valley. An eighteen wheeler is climbing the highway along the face of the ridge to my left, with the road winding down the mountain towards the far city.

Got into a couple areas of Pennsylvania I haven't been in ages this week! Got a rare run through Pittsburgh and finally got back to Pittston for the first time since I started this map:
My GPS tracker map centered on northern West Virginia, including Pittsburgh, Erie, Cleveland, Beckley, and Roanoke. A new track has been recently added from Blacksburg VA to Bluefield then up through Beckley and Pittsburgh to Erie. A zoom in on my GPS tracker app on the Hazleton/Wilkes-Barre region of Pennsylvania. A new track now goes from I-80 up Pennsylvania route 309 to Mountain Top, then up to Pittston and back to I-80 via I-81.

A red freightliner semi truck is pulling a curtain side semi trailer. It is an australian/new zealand spec tractor with large fuel tanks, a short wheelbase, high ground clearance, mud guards over both drive axles, and a small sleeper berth.

I blame the WA-18 construction project for not using any traffic control at this silly detour they've set up but I def helped kick off this traffic jam having to brake to 35 to squeeze by a car sitting half in the right lane at the bottom of that off ramp to Preston. I just kept going to 405.

Once again I find myself using Google traffic data to try to figure out where a tornado went:

I think someone shot at my truck with a BB gun in Albuquerque this morning. One managed to hit my windshield but the rest hit less breakable parts. It was shockingly loud compared to the usual random rock chip.

SKY RIPPLES

Update your truck sim copies of my truck, it's got FlowBelow wheel covers now
Photo of my semi from behind and to the right. The mudflap is a vented aero mudflap with the Wilson W printed on it hanging on a premium chrome hanger arm. The drive wheels now have black FlowBelow aero covers nestled just inside the rim. The fifth wheel also has a fresh coating of pink grease. My semi seen from the front left corner. It's fairly shiny, but the wheels are dull with road grime, suggesting it is cleaned regularly but it has been a couple weeks since the last wash. All of the windows are open, with mesh screens inserted in the driver and passenger windows. The new black FlowBelow aero covers on the wheels match nicely with the black paint scheme and black plastic trim pieces around the grille and on the aero fins at the back of the cab. The glossy black paint scheme is interrupted by a red and yellow pair of stripes from the nose to the sleeper window, and a red W on the roof trimmed in yellow with a gold eagle in front of it.
