It's always nice when people acknowledge the magic of pinball mechanism noises instead of dismissing it as a mere side effect of the way they're designed. I love how early 90s Williams titles turn the ball search sequence into something almost melodious.

I miss when "it has an AI feature built in" meant "one of the flippers can shoot the ball into the Swamp on its own."

One of my favorite recent programming experiences was the 8MHz ATMega328P. A very different approach to your code logic is needed when every cycle matters yet 60fps responsiveness is expected.
