I'm thinking about how 9/11 changed my life. I was married to my soul mate but secretly suppressing my true gender identity. All the horrible deaths that day made me realize I needed to live as the true me, or else I'd hate myself on my deathbed for not being braver...

I'm sorry, but I need to say that we don't hate each other nearly as much as people believe. We are just afraid. Like the German people were in 1933. We go along when we're afraid. But truly, most of us have good hearts. We simply must be brave enough to exercise our hearts.

If I was a service member and a person of color, or LGBTQ+, or non-Christian, I would be asking myself, "Do I really want to risk my life for a couple dozen billionaires who now control America?" There is no more "country" to die for.

I know that I dropped a Being Ellen post yesterday, but damnit, Trump keeps issuing executive orders to against my community. Yesterday's order banned gender affirming care by most providers across the U.S., devastating trans kids/youth and their families. ellie

Am I the only one who caught Trump's anti-trans statements at Davos yesterday? After once again declaring there are only two genders, he explicity referenced "transgender operations" saying, "which became the rage, will occur very rarely." That tells me he's coming after trans access to healthcare.
