V1 depends on a single struct which defines all possible ammo types, making it really difficult to change ammo types without having the knowledge and tooling to edit C++ source code. With Ammo Types in V2, you'll be able to do this right from the editor, and without a recompile - win win!

I think it's really project-dependent. Knowing your tools that deeply can give you a huge productivity advantage, but past a certain point you stop being a gamedev and end up as an engine dev :p

If we were to build Warbound without Unreal, in 20 years we'd still be building the engine 🙈

You can probably ask to have it swapped in an Apple Store (I had a friend exchange his Swiss layout for a US one this way), which is gonna be cheaper but even more expensive .-. Probably only worth doing if you have an old battery and can kill two birds with one stone

The keyboard is part of the top case sadly. You *can* swap the top case (apple sells them on their self-service repair site), but it’s not that cheap (I’m seeing £510 in the UK for my M1 Pro 14”) or easy, since you have to transplant the whole laptop into the new top case 🙈🙈
