Hey @everyone This is going to get a little serious but I need all of you to hear this. Please if you can take a few moments out of your day to watch the linked video (I'm sorry it's tiktok but it is what it is) this is the reality trans people are about to face in the UK. The cowards dropped this "guidance" late last night when it would be hard for any decent kind of a response for a few days. What can we do? We can resist as best we can but it's going to get harder. We need YOU, our friends and allies and EVERYONE in the community to speak up, help us, even if it's just shutting down a teansphobic/homophobic comment you hear from a colleague or family member (but always remember your safety is key!) Your communities, if you have one, big or small, make it a welcoming space for ALL members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and if it already is, thank you, please keep it that way. If you have ANY kind of platform, please consider showing support there too, repost stuff, write your own stuff do whatever you can and finally: Reach out to your friends in the community if you have anyone who is LGBTQIA+ check in with them, a small gesture like that can mean the world to them, trust me, to those of you who have reached out, thank you, we're scared right now!
