i PERSONALLY think realistic biomes look better at low erosion, and weird biomes look better at high erosion (ex shattered savanna). i just all around hate the pale garden biome placement. why can’t we have this instead

a little while back i experimented with a different pale garden biome distribution which made them generate in swampy terrain and shattered terrain and i like it so much more than on plateaus. i personally feel like low erosion is good for “realistic” biomes & high erosion is good for “weird” biomes

except when it comes to biome placement bc what do you mean pale gardens spawn on plateaus. and people said they generated too small so in the new snapshot mojang said they “take up more dark forest space” but by that they mean they just make twice as many small pale gardens 😭

since minecraft swamps are so rare from 1.18 onwards it would be cool if swamps could occasionally generate as microbiomes along coasts like this!!! in general it sucks that swamps generate inland instead of on coasts which makes more sense to me

Actually, a minor correction. Pale gardens don’t generate bigger, rather it just makes more of them. Instead of generating as plateaus/near mountain biomes when weirdness is positive, they now generate as plateaus/near mountain biomes regardless of weirdness.
