End Child Poverty Coalition have published new AHC estimates for child poverty rates in local areas.

In Wales, there's a strong correlation between the constituency-level child poverty rate and percentage of children affected by the two-child limit.

The policy urgently needs to be abolished.

The Devil's Bed and Bolster in Rode. He sleeps on a bed of nettles underneath an enormous horse chestnut tree, apparently.

My favourite thing from #FutureGens10 - the announcement that Wales is going to become a Marmot nation.

This means more action on the social determinants of health, a renewed commitment to social justice, and a recognition that you can't improve health without reducing poverty and inequality.

Tudno's cradle, a rocking stone inside Pen-y-Dinas hillfort above Llandudno. Used to be a judgement stone - the accused would be found guilty if they stood on the stone and it failed to rock. Punishment entailed being thrown over the cliff below 🫣.

Still, a beautiful stone in a beautiful place!

Great day at the Plaid Cymru conference today. So good to hear strong policy proposals to reduce child poverty, and to make Wales' education system more inclusive and equitable.

One of my favourite new year traditions, the calennig apple. Lots of fun making these deliciously-scented good luck charms.

The kids sing wishes for a happy year ahead, and are given little gifts in exchange.

We keep ours on display until Hen Galan, the old new year, on January 14th.
