Am one of those pay equity people who studied for and finished a masters degree while working 40+ hours a week - and after all that work still managed to be paid only $5000 more than the average wage.

I agree. Grey is the colour of a sunless day. I don’t get the obsession. Maybe it is like when silver cars were all the craze.

I don’t know the story behind how intermediate schools evolved. But I had compulsory classes in woodwork, metalwork, sewing, cooking and art. I look back now and think they were crazy awesome and really influenced my future. Plus ya know… first school dance, first yoga class, puberty.

Wtf? Another rate hike? Rates up. Insurance up. Rents ups. Mortgage interest rates massively up. Is it no wonder retail for everything but food, clothes and shelter is shrinking?

Thinking of flower-less housing scenarios. Boat, vanlife, cruise ship, apartment - flowers will burst forward and make themselves known wherever you go I think. 🤔 Good work on the knee. 😀

I think it depends on your personality type, how much travelling time you have every day and how effective your online chat is in your team. Also, is your home better to think in and hang to around in than your office is.

I like this thing you have going about making art and showing this as your life in progress. It is inspiring to shadow artists. (‘Shadow artists’ is a reference to the Julia Cameron book ‘The Artist’s Way’).

I love the smile at the bottom of the pic. It is beguiling. I love the airborne house at the top right. There’s something freeing and yet secure about that. The colours you have used have an optimism.

Someone with status in Wellington should rage this hard about the trains. Wellington itself is tiny and expensive to buy or rent a house for a family in. A lot of workers are dependent on the trains functioning better.
