I'm not a fictional character and these aren't Easter Eggs. The way that non-binary folk choose to present is not, ipso facto, indicative of a journey towards some other trans identity. It can ebb and flow as much as feels right to them, or based on whatever compromises they have to make.

I was gonna say that I forgot to mention the scientist was a woman because "woman scientist" felt redundant, but the term "scientist" is gender-neutral so I'm actually more a fan of that.
