I showed this to my kids this morning. They were really nervous about the first day of school and hearing from their favorite author perked them up. We all fangirl’d together over knowing the lore of the original title. 🩷

😔this is why I have to write speculative fiction. Its not because I’m even all that into fantasy and sci fi concepts — it’s just because the world we actually live in feels too scary.
