What’s the crime?

Sit in family court for a day and see kids go into foster care when there are no foster homes available. I don’t begrudge him for his money. Just wish he was a bit more like Bill and Melinda French Gates.

So teaching about the enslaved and civil rights in the US is DEI? Ignorant me, just thought it was history.

And how much is this costing taxpayers? I think Bezos and Musk need to chip in their private planes. Will report this to DOGE.

I am a GOP woman who believed Anita Hill. I believed Christine Blasey Ford and I believe Danielle Hegseth. Senators supporting Pete Hegseth’s confirmation dishonored themselves, their party and country by allowing an incompetent sexual predator run defense. But look at their president.

Drugs come across our borders because Americans use them.

It’s hard to say a civil word about this woman so I don’t. Speaker Johnson’s statements are as contemptible. Another U.S. citizen committed mass homicide and the only border he crossed was TX. Hate is bred quite well within our walls.

Reporting is a secondary issue. The problem is entitlement to luxury trips sponsored by billionaire patrons. Justices are public employees and the motive behind others wanting to supplement their income with lavish privilege is why it shouldn’t be allowed for any government employee.

Hope Trump voters in Western NC remember this during midterms. Thom Tillis, Ted Budd and Lindsey Graham are whining but likely won’t man-up and challenge their dear leader.

Good old boy Tommy Tuberville sees no problem with Hegseth’s past indiscretions. Doubt he would hire someone with bad management skills and excessive drinking to manage his financial portfolio but Hegseth is ok to run a department with an $8 billion budget. Roll Tide.

Most troublesome are the voters who keep electing these legislators. KY voted down a constitutional amendment allowing public funding for private education but sent the authors back to the state house. Ignorance or masochism?

My first HS essay was also on abortion. We discussed in class and one of my friends cried. That’s when I found out she had an abortion the previous year. It is not an easy decision but her choice was not to become a mother at 16. Reproductive rights don’t belong to the state. Her body her choice.

In his resignation letter, Gaetz claimed he would not take the oath of office for his seat in January. Florida has already begun preparing for a special election. There is no legal precedent if he changes his mind so it will interesting to see what happens.

I believe he had a deal with Speaker Johnson to resign his seat to stop ethics committee report from going public. A crap shoot he lost. A special election will be called in FL to fill his seat and he could run again.

I agree. Whatever the outcome of the investigation, the public has a right to see how the Committee works or doesn’t work to police their own. Unconscionable that Gaetz was even considered for AG but sex crimes matter very little these days.
