Plot twist. Jenny has not been rising consistently. I ordered a bread proofer (cozybread.com) & am hopping on the TikTok bandwagon with Eve (thesouthernsourdoughco.myshopify.com/). I’m keeping Jenny, and I’m interested to see if I can make bread with both and compare. SCIENCE PROJECT!

Jenny was messing with me. It seemed like she had stopped rising so I put her in a fresh, clean jar. She rose and fell overnight! Tomorrow may be my first attempt at baking with her… depending on how much we decide to cook for the Super Bowl 😊

She’s being extra today. Passed the float test! Going to continue a few more days of feeding before I start baking with her. That will be an endeavor for this weekend.

Jenny did some good work overnight. She’s enjoying being in the oven with the light on. Looking forward to feeding her this evening, and I have some bigger jars getting delivered today, too.
