The nexus of bank exposure to NBFIs & the exposure of both banks/NBFIs to the web of AI/crypto companies is going to cause the next systemic financial crisis. It's really only a question of how & when at this point.
👇🎯 This interconnectedness is exactly why more bank capital - not what we got post-GFC, but <a lot more> - was necessary. As soon as this web makes it to systematically important financial institutions (& it probably already has), & one does a Lehman, we’re facing another systemic financial crisis.
