May be the third best-known Ellen in SFF. I tell people how awesome books are for a living (especially ones with spaceships and magic). I also talk a lot about crafts, baking, and NYC history. She/her.
Ooh I somehow didn't realize #3 was coming out so soon! Thank you for informing me!!

If you like those, I recommend Sharan Newman's Catherine LeVendeur series (also mysteries; Abelard and Heloïse are major characters).

There's a scene in ep 5 (just watched!) that I enjoyed immensely, and I thought the shooting-17-people-in-a-discotheque scene had the right tone. But I really, really don't care about Helen's (feelings about her) affair.

It's not striking the right balance, for sure. I think I'd have been more into it if it'd gone a bit more dark comedy + stylish over-the-top action (it has a sense of humor! and the Christmas setting gives it some wryness!) but clearly that's not what they wanted to do.

If you haven't already, highly recommend cleaning out some real food containers to add to the kitchen. My kid loves squeezing the honey bottle and opening the tea tin in particular!

It would be one thing if we were supposed to see them as incompetents who are succeeding through sheer luck, but the show clearly considers them super-spies. (Or just considers everyone else in the worlds of espionage/government/crime to be 3x as incompetent.)

There's enough I enjoy that I'll finish the show (any scene with Williams in it is a delight) but I also want to throw things at the TV every episode.

I was just complaining about this to my spouse. A high-profile government official's wife murders a man in a public street and no one finds out about it?!

Oh, that's cool. Though at that price, it's not going to get me away from reading on my phone any time soon.

I love a cream scone. Cheating? Maybe. But delicious cheating.

dreamy cream scones
Not too sweet, perfect crumb and not even a little dry, these have converted legions of scone-averters.

Like everything, there's a Simpsons clip for it: youtu.be/Vey7GKNpl4Q?...
Sideshow Bob Campaign Ad
Mayor Quimby even released Sideshow Bob -- a man twice convicted of attempted murder. Can YOU trust a man like Mayor Quimby? (Vote Sideshow Bob for mayor.)

I had probably seen the original trilogy multiple times through before I could talk. It was just often on in my house and I can't remember ever NOT having seen it. Zero complaints and this is how I'm raising my kid, too!

I first saw Princess Bride around 9-10 and loved it. Read the book around 13.
