I always thought I was conservative until basic human decency became liberal.

Not complying in advance.

As first lady, Jacqueline Kennedy undertook a restoration of the White House, to show the evolving history of the people who had lived and worked there, calling the work “a question of scholarship.”

I’m still trying to figure out the birthday message, the weird way it is worded feels like some sort of code. Do we feel like “another wonderful secret” refers to a Victoria’s Secret model or party?

How do you cut off communication for government employees in high risk areas? Why are you trying to get people killed?
DOGE cut off payments for the electricity, cell phone, and internet service of U.S. government employees who work in a high-risk area in Central America.

Meanwhile, DOGE apparently plans to spend $25,000 to install a washer and dryer for their own personal use in a federal office building in DC.

Thank you, American Bar Association, for calling out the illegal activity of this administration and urging every attorney to join the fight against the assault of the rule of law:

Love this!
Trump may have pardoned the rioter who viciously attacked officer Michael Fanone on January, but Judge Amy Berman Jackson made a few things clear when she dismissed the case, as she had to:

Great article, @warondumb.bsky.social — we’ve been living under this here in Tennessee for awhile as well. It’s not great.

Here in Tennessee our Republican supermajority decided it is better to put our elected officials in PRISON than to vote the will of their constituents.
We passed a bill in committee yesterday that felonizes elected officials if they vote against Trump’s immigration policy. Let that sink in. Duly elected officials will go to jail- will have a criminal record- if they do not vote for and support Trump’s policies.

If your Christianity causes you to be offended by someone asking the most powerful person in the country to be merciful towards the powerless, then you have profoundly misunderstood the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Anyone who thinks $175k/year is low-income in Tennessee, is far too wealthy and out of touch to be making laws and policy for our state.
This - media says 10,000 of @GovBillLee’s vouchers are for “low income” families, but $175K/year ain’t “low income”.

Stop parroting state talking points.

Only 3000 private school seats open in TN. Vouchers are for kids already in private school. Tell the truth.

I expected Hegseth to be a piece of work today at the hearings, but I did not expect to hear so many GOP senators totally on board with the concept of using the military against civilians.
This country is getting more dangerous by the minute and I am feeling kind of hopeless about it today.
