Happy Holidays to Those Who Just Can't who really want to sit in a soft chair in a dark room with a glass of wine and a Party Pizza and cry through childhood favorite movies. We out there.

Just don't wear makeup to therapy. Like, if the appointment is the first thing you do that day. Don't get all "look put together." Because you're gonna have to let the mask down for it to work in the first place, and mascara runs faster than you can.

I used to be one of those "birthday week" people and make an event and invite everyone. Then that just didn't exist and it felt like my birthday didn't at all. Sometimes it's not important. But right now, staring down the barrel of another messed up one - I'm just sad. It feels important to me.

What it IS IS is that I've got a con to go to I hadn't planned ahead for, I've gotta work tonight/tomorrow night and probably Sunday but it's also my birthday weekend. And karma's a bitch and maybe I deserve it but I do feel mostly totally miserable and I don't see the birthday fixing that.
