You make a great point. We all have different experiences through this. As a trans federal employee they made it clear I had a target on my back so I took the fork in the road offer, started a new company and now i build AI agents for non-profit clients. It's true I would have conditions to return.

Nice! You joke but in the late 19th century / early 20th so few folks in the south wore shoes that hook-worm infections were endemic. Among other things hook worms cause mental impairment, giving rise to the slow minded Southerner cliche. A gov run program got people meds and shoes to fix it.
