rejections suck too, but at least you have a closer chance to reaching the editors than with agents... where, even if they did accept your novel, would have to shop it to other editors. it sucks! i hate it! it stresses me out!

or to put this in the form of a question: why do all the people who are obsessed with bluesky being an echo chamber write for national publications headquartered in new york and dc?

i read that book earlier this summer, one of my favorite reading sessions this year! an extremely evocative read
