Sometimes, you just need a taco. And pozole rojo. And by sometimes I mean pretty much any day you damn well feel like it, like today.
A carne asada taco, which is grilled steak, white onions, and cilantro in a corn tortilla. Beside it is a cup of dark red, almost brown, pozole, with bits of smoked chicken and hominy. The garnishes next to it are traditional: radishes, lime, green cabbage, cilantro, and fresh jalapeños.

By far, my favorite summer lunch. I cannot resist a caprese salad!
