Why has there been no statement on who the protesters were? These were unions that included multiple locals representing city and county employees. How can we submit statements without fear of retaliation? Police action was also concerning. Why was the LRAD even in the area?

Though newly elected to their leadership positions within council, @councilorzimmerman.bsky.social and @councilorclark.bsky.social have been in office for over a year now, yet their silence deafening. You and the rest of council not named previously should be ashamed of yourselves.

They purposely went outside to gas the people and children towards the end. People that were nowhere in their immediate path.

Hundreds gathered at the park nearby for around an hour before the march started. We were loud and very visible.
They were not blindsided by our presence.
The march never stopped in front of Ice and only slowed as we walked past. I was towards the front. Agents were not outside when we walked by.

Not only that but our unions specifically prepared measures to keep the protest safe by not passing in front of the actual building. I was toward the front and ICE wasn’t outside. Which means they purposely came outside just to gas peaceful protesters.
