you're pretty uncharitable to assume the author doesn't get the business side, just because they only talk about the consumer side.
you want the author to be more explicit about wotc's bat business practices? me too, but don't act like they're daft for having a different focus.

you're misreading the article. when they say paizo's approach "makes more sense", it's not that wotc is literally without reason. They're saying paizo's approach is better.
