As an LCSW in private practice this seems spot on. Unfortunately, many people who are highly sensitive learned in childhood that their sensitivity was the problem and they just had to toughen up.

Personally, I feel completely powerless.
The tide will not turn until there is a mass swell of people making noise on multiple fronts (reaching out to elected officials, coming to protests, boycotts, etc.)--and if a sizable portion of those people are part of the Republican base.

Has anyone done a project like this and used a product that does a good job and doesn't harm the ecosystem? I have played with a lot of materials but nothing has really done the trick. #crafty #engineerbrain #riverofrocks

Sadly, we are no longer in the realm of cognitive or value-driven processes. It's quite primitive and fear based: do you want to be a Sub or a Dom? They're definitely not focused on fixing problems.
