He was about to face a massive, humiliating defeat, something a narcissist can’t endure, so he flipped so he could claim that he was in favor of releasing the files all along.

Don’t forget the brief ascendancy of harpsichords in the late 60s.

Part of it is that he knew he was going to face a massive, humiliating defeat on the vote, and the narcissistic injury would be unbearable, so he’s trying to flip it and claim a victory, “I always wanted to release the Epstein files…”

I’m sure she would feel very safe if she broke up with him, right?

Any bets on how many Repubs will vote for it? A couple weeks ago Rep. Swalwell said it could be close to 100. I’m not that optimistic, but I think the tide has turned radically in recent days.

Highly unlikely that the congressional vote(s) will matter, since it can all be vetoed, and I don’t think they’ll get a veto-proof majority.

However, if that miracle happens, the order to release is a LAW, which would supersede any POLICY of the DOJ.

We can ALL see that the president is incapable of being ”laser focused” on ANYTHING. Is there a single person who would watch this show and believe this nonsense? Anyone?

I never understood why we couldn’t just cut to the chase and believe the affidavits of the victims…

Dead people existing on a list is not corruption. It’s only corruption if they prove that someone else was using the dead people’s benefits. They have not shown that, as far as I know.

There won’t be a Senate-passed compromise. Anyone who thinks the Repubs will vote for this is fooling themselves. They wanted the ACA strangled in its cradle and have now succeeded in killing the subsidies.

Repubs have wanted to kill the ACA for years. Now they’ve succeeded in killing the subsidies. They don’t care if someone “sees” their vote.
