“You do not seek this world, you are not drawn to Paradise, nor do you fear Hell. What is it that you seek?”

And they replied:

‘Our Lord, You know best what we seek. We seek only You.’”

I created this world for them, and nine turned towards it. One remained.

Then I created Paradise for that one group, and again, nine turned toward it. One remained.

Then I created Hell, and nine fled from it. Only one group remained.’

I asked them:

The word "Humoom" is the plural of "humm - ھمی"
It means what we understand and explain as "stress" in today's language.

I raise you علاج الھموم this new year ♥️

May Allah ease all your affairs.
And because I earnestly wish it for you, us kay sadqay main, may He ease mine as well. Ameen sum ameen.

Except that God will remove his sadness and worry and replace it with joy.”

Sheikh Hamza said that this dua by our Prophet is narrated in the books as "علاج الھموم"

'اللهم إني عبدك ابن عبدك ابن أمتك
ناصيتي بيدك، ماض فيّ حكمك، عدل فيّ قضاؤك
أسألك بكل اسم هو لك سمّيت به نفسك
أو أنزلته في كتابك، أو علّمته أحداً من خلقك
أو استأثرت به في علم الغيب عندك
أن تجعل القرآن ربيع قلبي، ونور صدري
وجلاء حزني وذهاب همّي'

I ask U by every name that is Yours, by which U have named Yourself, or revealed in Ur Book, or taught to any of Ur creation, or kept to Urself in the knowledge of the unseen with U, to make Quran the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the disspeller of my sorrow, & the remover of my worry'

'O Allah, I am Your servant, the son of Your servant, the son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is carried out, and Your decree concerning me is just.

The pain stays. How to use that pain as fuel, and not as an obstacle, becomes your test.

May you succeed in living your life in a way that makes them proud of you on the day you meet them, in sha Allah. ❤️

The thing is, what do you do with what and who they carved you into during the time they were here. If you think of yourself as their greatest project, you'll find a better clarity on how you want to deal with life, as their legacy.

The black hole of loss will not swallow you whole anymore, but you'll learn to move around it like one does around kaa'aba... Driven with submission and surrender.

The thing is, my love, your parent won't come back!

Other days it will be a soft whispering of their love and your loss, gentle sloshing on the shores of your heart, nothing crippling.

Gradually, you'll learn to navigate your days without getting drowned, but a whimpering ache will remain there. Silently reminding you of it.

There remains a hole inside your heart, the size of their presence in your life. It will remain there, like a permanent fixture of your internal world.

Grief will come in waves. 🌊

Some days the waves will drown you, rendering you incapable of getting anything done.
