2026 reads, starting with January. The Italian and the Wager were both absolute bangers. Witch Hat Atelier was a delightful surprise; its worldbuilding and magic system is intricately designed, as well as its inclusions of the character's disabilities. Read all 13 in one sitting.

Weekend 2 was two towers with Beorn’s honey cakes, Lembas Bread, and the Prancing Pony Potato and Garlic Soup. The honey cakes were excellent, the soup was filling and the lembas bread was…. Interesting? I wasn’t sure how i felt about it. But I also tapped out early bc I’ve been sick all weekend :(

Seeing fellowship is turning 25 this year really makes me think about all the stuff that came out with release that I’ve held onto over the years, most of which is older than some of my coworkers. Including the Legolas poster behind the door of the guest room that stares at me during paralegal class

And of course….. I don’t know how I got tricked into reading someone’s published fanfiction TWICE but never again. Iron widow delightfully surprised me by seeming like it was gonna be fanfiction then zagging on me and giving me something 13 year old me on Gaia online would’ve loved

& November and December. Reading is definitely gonna take a hit next year, but I’m hoping I can still manage 3-4 books a month if I stick to shorter novels. Romantic outlaws was incredible, highly recommend.
