Back after six busy weeks of very little running. Legs feel so good to have run again 👍
Did lots of running today on a 100km relay team. Total team distance will only be 92km though since the course was a km short. I did 3 loops for the team and joined my son on his loop plus a 3km jaunt to the North Saskatchewan River for a swim. So refreshing!

Chill run on a hot day with Ruby. I did a lot of water walking and Ruby did a lot of swimming. The cool water did us both good. Hay is ready to be bailed.

Ended the week with a nice trail run and swim with Ruby. Only 25km total this week. Lots of Bear scat on the trails and sure enough this evening from the house we spotted two black bears in the field. Time to pick the apples off the tree.

Ended the week with a nice trail run and swim with Ruby. Only 25km total this week. Lots of Bear scat on the trails and sure enough this evening from the house we spotted two black bears in the field. Time to pick the apples off the tree.

I was making excuses to not run especially since it was cold, windy, threatening to rain and I didn’t have a jacket in town with me. Decided if I went with trails I would be buffered by the trees. No regrets!

24th Marathon done. I tested my ability to run 2:59 but after coming close to 1:30 at the half I backed off and for the most part cruised for sub 3:15 I’m clearly not fit enough to run sub 3 and I didn’t want to get to 30km with cooked legs. More work to to improve 😅 #marathon #running #yeg

Back at it with some road running. Was going good until I turned around and a weather change began to blow in. Stopped after this run to dig some Caragana shrubs and planted them at our place, pictured.

I’m into a taper for race in 12 days so just had two days off. Today was hot so I planned the trail run to include a couple swims in the river. Ruby loved it! I will try putting video in comment.

Ran into a local runner today I had never met before. And he is training for same race! Ended up sharing 12 easy kms. Good conversation about running! Started getting warm early so tomorrow’s long run will be earlier.
