The most shocking part in all of this is that Cruella is married.

Shutting off such a large window to the world to kids would be a massive mistake for so many reasons. So much of the internet is a force for good when you're trying to discover yourself.

I've seen plenty of people from the queer community explain how super important the internet was for them to discover themselves and find communities they could comfortable share with. On a personal, smaller level the internet was important for my growth as an artist when I was a teenager.

Quite daring to release these kinds of statements while Noclip is still releasing their documentary with the people who left.

Mad respect for my fun uncle who never had a kid. For all of them.

Suddenly seeing him on my timeline was a real jumpscare.

I've never found redstone to be that difficult to get so I don't really mind the requirement too much. That said setting up your basic storage before going mining deep enough and filling your inventory with ores and such does sound nice.

I am as excited as I am anxious about the remakes. He is such a large part of what makes these games good.

I once wrote "merry coffee to those who practice" on discord in a similar context. Wish I could drink the stuff.

An inspiring example I shall strive for.

This only goes one way I guess, from the immature art form to the more fancy, respected one.

I feel like video games are still widely seen as products more than art (and when I see the state of the industry I get it).

I guess this complaint relies on the expectation, or maybe more precisely the assumption that people on the website are all going to write in english. Which is probably a common assumption when you speak the one language every other country "has" to learn.

Why does it look like one of those rage bait platform games on steam with random assets floating in the air?

What's the deal with birthrates? Is it an economic thing? Do we need constantly more children to get constant economic growth? I'm not sure I understand the logic behind it.

I'm pretty sure the devs were quite far into the development when they bought the name torchlight to slap it on their game. They make a couple of NPCs each say "torchlight" once during the story and voilà, a new torchlight game.

You just naturally exhume a professional aura.

This isn't just about video games, it's about the environment, it's about people's jobs, it's about data centres trying to implant themselves everywhere and ruin the place.

My family of normies all agreed that AI was a problem before we talked about it during the holidays, most my friends agree with me too and if I had to guess, at least part of their families. You're deluding yourself if you think there aren't a lot of people worried about losing their jobs out there.
January 9, 2026 at 5:22 PM
He got yelled at online and decided to publicly state that he would try more ethical use of AI, that is something. It's bullshit of course but it shows he is scared of the backlash, because there is a backlash.

Also, I do talk to actual people about it actually, and a most agree with me.
January 9, 2026 at 5:06 PM
Again, it is manifesting! Larian's CEO is sweating bullets publicly, coming back on his statements about their proud use of AI, that's a manifestation of the backlash!

Also, literally read anything else on the internet, bluesky isn't the only place where people are sick of AI.
January 9, 2026 at 4:56 PM
While I can't know how large it is, you can't either. How many people didn't buy these games because of it? How many people regretted buying these games after learning about it?

If the backlash wasn't significant, Larian's CEO wouldn't be backpedalling like it's the reverse tour de france.

1- Do you think voice actors would nominate ARC for best audio? My cat would know something's wrong with the voices in this game.

2- If they want to vote for studios trying to push their colleagues out of their jobs then I have just lost a bit more faith in humanity. Surely AI won't come for them.
January 9, 2026 at 4:24 PM
I'd like to think that "gamers" shouldn't have a say when people who make the games they like are getting replaced by robots. Any public vote for GOTY is a meaningless popularity contest anyway. It boils down to "I like that game therefore it has the best audio/story/whatever."
