"Poinsot's Pixel Spaceship"

Physics of the gyroscope - seen as an invasion of friendly aliens :)

Ellipsoid intersecting sphere as the equations say :)

Hand-crafted Javascript code based on #threejs, no AI. MathJax for the LaTex characters.

I am a physicist creating art based on the math behind physics - with watercolor pencils or with hand-written code (No AI).

In my store, I am offering canvas prints, pillows, coffee mugs, and fluffy blankets:

Pillows and mugs show two different artworks on each side!

Thanks!

I've added #MathArt pillows to my store - using my 2024 3D Lissajous Figures art!

store.elkement.art/pages/pillows

#SciArt created with hand-written code (no AI).

Each of the four pillows shows different but closely related figures on the front and and the back:

New geometrical drawing of mine, colored with watercolors.

Spins in quantum mechanics and stereographic projection. "Where does this weird factor 1/2 come from"

Inspired by Roger Penrose! My 2021 blog post about the math: elkement.art/2021/10/26/s...

I've given the classical cylindrical mug vintage coffee-set vibes ... but with a geeky touch! ☕ 🤓

This mug shows two of my hand-made drawings based on physics, each an eloborate geometrical construction. 📐✏️

"Metropolis of Math"

Using my own code-generated digital art (threejs/Javascript code, no AI) as a reference for watercolor paintings - two different interpretations!

The three towers are based on three different functions (loosely inspired by orbitals).

I tried the invite link on illustratingmath.org , but it seems to be invalid?

My version of this - I called it Dirac's Belt Swimming in Dirac's Sea :) Inspired by Roger Penrose's book The Road to Reality.

Quick reminder that I launched a new shop for selected canvas prints and merch last week 😇

store.elkement.art

Art based on the math unterlying physics. Created with hand-written code or with watercolor pencils (no AI). Printed on canvas, coffee mugs, and throw blankets.

Watercolor practice: I've painted the safety assembly of our heat pump! :)

There should be a hash tag #EngArt. Or does it count as #SciArt ? This heat pump has been part of quite a research project :)

See my photos of the fluffy mathematical blanket that was in the mail today! 😍

Printed with my traditional geometrical drawing:

I have finally framed my Cathedral of Math - perspective construction of a mathematical tower:

Another one from my series of diffraction curves artworks - this time it is a photo of the canvas print!

Placed the print so light illuminates it from the left, at a very small incident angle. So, near the left edge the shimmering texture of the canvas is visible.

So, it is #PortfolioDay again!

I am Elke(ment), a physicist turning the math underlying physics into visual art, with hand-written computer code or with pencils. Or I am drawing objects from glass dispersing light! (No AI).

That's why I call this series "Osciloscopic Dance" - see my flight through my "virtual sculpture" from 3D Lissajous Figures!

The series comprises still images of them in different colors, seen from different viewpoints.

The weirdest of my series Sparse Spectral Spaceport (Delta) - diffraction curves mounted on a circle (separate cylindrical screen for different wavelengths)!

Peaks are seen from below, distorted by perspective.

Designed for canvas prints wrapping around the frame.

Another one from my series "Sparse Spectral Spaceport" - virtual 3D scupltures from mathematically exact diffraction curves.

Intensity of diffracted light depending on the position (angle). The diffraction grating would be in the center of the structure.

Actually, the very first ones have been these "models" 🤣 - for visualizing the shapes! (3D software has not been sufficient :) )

Art from diffraction curves: "Sparse Spectral Spaceport Alpha". Capturing light of different wavelengths on cylindrical screens of different radii.

Actual art + mockups for 18x12x1.5 inch canvas prints. Both art image and mockups created with threejs.

Yes, I am developing "threejs art to present threejs art" :)

I am creating my own ockups for my upcoming series of canvas prints - 3D Lissajous figures dancing with each other.
