I live in Canada. I’m offended. I don’t want the absurdity down south spreading here, and I don’t want to be associated with the U.S. nor do I wanna live there.

I do wish our neighbors down south would leave us alone.

Holy shit. Back to Iron Lungs, I suppose.

Deutsche Welle & France24 both have English and French coverage and are great for European and African news. The BBC is great for the Anglosphere and much of Asia. If you want something more locally Canadian, the CBC is a classic that can’t go wrong.

It was literally his own mother. I feel like we are going to see something insane like a tweet that she’s a deep state plant or something…

I have some hope Europe can resist more, but there is a strong chance of a intellectual dark age if this continues.

Cool by me, as long as they is no algorithmic favoritism for non-paying users. Customization and higher quality uploads is a-okay.

And this is considered fiscal responsibility to the right. Hilarious.

God forbid they touch the military industrial complex. They will be crucified in the National Mall for suggesting such a thing, but if you want to see government waste, look no further than the Pentagon.

Lazarus’ poem means nothing at this point. Goodness gracious, this is disgusting.

The effect on American academia will certainly be interesting. Academia tends to fare better in open, democratic societies, which is something the U.S. has been, well, probably not under Trump. Alas, Europe and Canada shall be happy to absorb them.
November 24, 2024 at 7:18 PM
Oh no, the consequences of my actions. A vote for Trump is a vote against humanity for all I care, a vote against our climate and our survival.

All I can say is, world’s smallest violin.
a person is holding a small violin in their hand with the caption poor thing .

Alas, this is the Democratic Party going to the « center », which has never worked, yet they continue to be pushed to do it by their army of pundits.
November 23, 2024 at 4:41 PM
Honestly, what were they expecting. I come to social media not to argue with bigots, and that’s all Twitter offers.
November 23, 2024 at 4:40 PM
It’s so pretty! Still waiting for our snow up north here…
November 23, 2024 at 4:35 PM
Ah yes, it’s trans people forcing her to go on TV, not her own need to be relevant. Sure.
November 19, 2024 at 7:04 PM
Well, that’s fun. No more bullshit, no more idiotic takes on my feed. Ahhh, sanity, how I have missed you.
November 18, 2024 at 4:39 AM
Clear pre-censoring. Trump II will be litigious towards trans and queer people living in the open. This is just preemptively clearing the road for Disney to sell their supposed values down the river.
