One argument against saving up wealth in a barn (Luke 12:16-20) is that excess wealth is meant to be spent to provide work for the community. Hoarding deprives others. The poor spend a large percent of their income. The wealthy spend little of their income. How does the middle class fit in this?

50,271 words for the month of November. I won NaNoWriMo, but more importantly have a draft of my book Poverty, Wealth, and Christian Life. It is a horrible draft, but that's how books start in my experience. Monday a re-org of the whole thing, and then editing. Whew. Eye for art.
