An analysis of TMC's 130+ press releases conducted by @mongabay.com @ocean-elly.bsky.social and @pulitzercenter.bsky.social showed a steep rise in terms like “sustainability” and “clean energy” in 2019‑2020—but by 2024, language around “defense”, “security”, and “China” eclipsed green messaging.
