If I had a dollar for every anime film about a mermaid(-coded) character befriending or falling for a human man that has insanely good, fun animation and is an incredibly joyful experience to watch, I'd have $3 which is not a lot but still weirdly specific. All three have been instant faves for me.

Never should have let me develop a decent level of passive French (i.e. my speaking is questionable and my writing is straight up atrocious but I can read decently and listen kind of okay) because now every time I'm in France I make financially irresponsible choices. A Fnac hates to see me coming

i love that the dungeon synth fest in 2026 is going to be on valentine's day bc lbr if you're in that scene you definitely don't have plans for valentine's day (i'm allowed to say this because i will in fact be going). same energy as this tweet:
